The third quarter of 2022 saw some intriguing trends among the top 5 paid games on the iOS platform in the United States. Here's a closer look at the performance of Geometry Dash Lite, Solitaire, Minecraft, Cut the Rope, and Goat Simulator: Pocket Edition.

Geometry Dash Lite saw a notable uptick in weekly downloads, peaking at approximately 132K by mid-September. The app's weekly active users exhibited a slight fluctuation, ranging from 1.8M to 2M throughout the quarter, maintaining a steady engagement.

Solitaire from MobilityWare experienced consistent weekly revenue, averaging around $15K to $18K. Downloads showed a declining trend starting from 45K in late June to about 31K in early September, before rebounding slightly to 35K by the end of the quarter. Active users also showed a downward trend, from over 4M in late June to approximately 3.4M by the end of September.

Minecraft reported the highest weekly revenue among the top 5, starting at $615K and peaking at $709K in late July before gradually declining to around $459K by the end of September. Weekly downloads remained relatively stable, averaging around 30K to 37K. Active users, however, saw a significant drop from over 8M in early July to about 5.5M by the end of the quarter.

Cut the Rope maintained steady weekly revenue, fluctuating between $5.5K and $7.6K. Downloads initially declined from 27K in early July to 15K at the end of August, but then sharply increased to over 30K by the end of September. Active users followed a similar pattern, starting at 71K, dipping to 52K, and then rising to 76K by the end of the quarter.

Goat Simulator: Pocket Edition showed consistent weekly revenue around $1.2K to $2.2K. Weekly downloads experienced a gradual decline from 23K in late July to about 14K by mid-September, with a slight recovery to 16K at the end of the quarter. Active users also saw a decrease from 40K in late July to around 30K by the end of September.
